Taylor
Taylor Swift may be the most unique of pop stars. She was an artist capable of successfully cross the divide between pop and country and conquer the world. Swift shed country like it was a second layer and proved that she is perhaps the best pop-singer/songwriter in her generation. One who can harness the zeitgeist to make it personal, and be able to perform at the opposite. Swift's first hits, particularly the neo celebration of Tim McGraw, showed off her talents. The album from 2008 Fearless showcased a writer who was re-discovering herself and was able to draw a wide audience. The album was a huge success, not just in America, but also with six platinum-certified singles. Its Top Ten songs Love Story and I Belong with Me were the primary reasons behind this. However, it did exceptionally well throughout the world. Swift reached the heights of the charts with Speak Now. The next three albums she released, Red (2012) 1989 (2004) and Reputation (2017) Reputation (2017), Swift's popularity grew and she found herself in the world of pop music in which it became clear she was a part of. The popularity of her music grew after she reformulated her approach in 2020's more streamlined siblings the folk singer (and Evermore) and stayed in the forefront of pop culture.
