Amy Smart was an American model as well as actress. Amy Smart was born and raised in California USA began her modelling in Italy. She made her acting debut in 1996, when she appeared in the TV production Her Costly Affair. After a difficult fight to get a part, she was offered a role as 'Starship Troopers' in the film Starship Troopers. This was not easy for Amy as she had change from modeling to acting. Models aren't regarded as the best actors so they tend to be given smaller roles that aren't very important. Amy persevered. She climbed the ladder to bigger roles. She began in The 70s series and Varsity Blues film. The 2005 romance comedy Just Friends, which also featured Ryan Reynolds, saw her perform some more notable roles. Amy received the recognition she'd been seeking more than a decade. Amy was in several big movies in the Crank trilogy opposite Jason Statham. And she was also a regular character in The Shameless series.
